Geoff Taylor

Bio/CV: 

Geoffrey Taylor is an archaeologist and Ph.D. student in the Anthropology department at the University of California Berkeley. He received his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2011. His field experience has spanned Moche commoner household excavations on the North Coast of Peru, Mesolithic and Paleolithic scatters in Germany, and Chumash shell middens in California. With a focus in paleoethnobotanical analysis, Geoffrey intends to study past subsistence and the effects of early agricultural systems on the lives of people in the Andes. He is currently beginning analysis of macrobotanical remains from the Middle Formative site of Alto Pukara on the Taraco Peninsula of the Titicaca Basin in Bolivia.
