I am a third year Ph.D. student in the Department of Anthropology (Archaeology Track) at Stanford University. I am currently planning my dissertation research in collaboration and consultation with the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe of the San Francisco Bay Area, and I am interested in understanding identity through food, practice and ritual, as well as the inscription of memory on past landscapes. I am currently training in Paleoethnobotanical methods under the direction of Dr. Christine Hastorf and Dr. Rob Cuthrell in preparation for my field research in 2014-15.
